We have the pleasure of introducing you to our campsite and cottage rental.
We hope you’ll find a holiday home, luxury cabin or campsite that meets your wishes and needs. Our campsite and holiday homes are located a few meters from Ringkøbing Fjord, where the beautiful nature invites you for walks and bike rides. The walk or bike ride can either be along the water or a trip out to the new Skjern River National Park. If you’re more into water, Skaven Strand is a great place for surfers and kite surfers. Skaven Strand Put & Take is also a great place for anglers.
Camping
Lovely family campsite located next to the beach by Ringkøbing Fjord. Great facilities everywhere, including a family bathing room, sauna, baby changing room etc. and cozy playgrounds for the children. Heated swimming pool. The location by the fjord, which is one of the best surf and kite areas in Northern Europe, both for beginners and advanced, and the short distance to the new Skjern Å National Park, means that we are visited by many nature lovers and surfers every year.
Skaven Strand also has a small marina where you can buy fish from local anglers. If you’re into fishing yourself, there are plenty of opportunities here. Fishing lakes, the fjord and the Western Sea are nearby.

Skaven Strand, Put & Take – fishing and catching in a fishing lake in West Jutland
Skaven fishing lake is the place where you can have a great fishing experience or a great family outing. The surroundings are very child-friendly and we have mini golf.

In Skaven fishing lake, you catch fish. That’s why it’s also known as the best fishing lake in the area. Skaven fishing lake is located close to Ringkøbing Fjord. The lake is 10,000m2 with a depth from 1.5 m. to 3.5 m.
We release a fish once a week – from 1 kg to 4 kg

Holiday home area
Skaven Strand is located on the east side of Ringkøbing Fjord. Here you’ll find fresh fjord air, a cozy harbor environment and a beautiful sandy beach. Skaven Strand is known and preferred by many people who appreciate vacationing in tranquil surroundings with unspoiled nature.
The shallow waters of the fjord make it an ideal place for windsurfers, both beginners and advanced. The magnificent nature provides numerous experiences for nature lovers and there is plenty of space for children to play.

Welcome to Skaven Strand, home to one of the best surf spots in Northern Europe.
Skaven Strand is an ideal area for surfers and kitesurfers due to the shallow water and almost always good wind. Skaven Strand is visited by thousands of surfers every year, both beginners and professionals. Surfers are really happy with the space they have on the beach and on the water.
At Skaven Strand, surfers also have great accommodation options. Skaven Strand Camping og Sommerhusudlejning offers approx. 80 holiday homes, all located within 1000 meters of Ringkøbing Fjord, and the campsite is located right down to the water and beach.
