Skjern river fishing opportunities

Skjern Å nature area (national park) is a fantastic area for nature lovers. There are large green areas, lakes and the Skjern River winding through the area. The area is rich in bird and plant life and several viewing towers have been set up. You can move around the area either on foot, by bike or on horseback, as the area is laid out with a lot of trails. Wheelchair users can also get around. Many nature lovers also like to take a canoe trip to get really close to the different bird species.

In the nature area there are also two ferries where you can cross the river Skjern Å with your own help. For anglers, Skjern Å is already a well-known area. A lot of salmon and sea trout are caught here every year. The river is known throughout most of northern Europe, and on the opening day of salmon fishing, fishermen from many countries come to try their luck.

Hvide Sande fishing opportunities

There are many places in Denmark with as many fishing opportunities for as many different types of fishing as here. We don’t think so – herring, garfish, mackerel, flatfish, eel and cod in streams of cutter trips. These are just some of the many offers available in saltwater fishing. In the fishing calendar you can see the different season times. But there are also plenty of opportunities in freshwater, at the southern end of Ringkøbing Fjord there is fantastic fishing for pike, perch, shells and eels – and even carp at certain times of the year.

In addition to the fjord, there are also many good put and take lakes in the area around the fjord.
